fourth of july celebrations

happy fourth of july, everyone!

i hope you had a fantastic (and relaxing) day off 

and were able to celebrate with friends and family.

my day started out... not so patriotic...

i slept in, scrubbed the communal bathroom, and then basked in the sun -

these things must get done at some point, right?

i did, however, don my red, white, and blue attire,

and go to a barbecue with several of the girlfriends this afternoon.

two are here visiting from out of town,

so it was fun to celebrate the day with them! 

as for the fireworks, is it horrible if i don't watch them?

perhaps i am not so patriotic after all.
