my first try at peplum

what is peplum? 
a short flared, gathered, or pleated strip of fabric attached at the waist of a woman's jacket, dress, or blouse (or in my case, a t-shirt).

i have to admit, i like the shorter style-peplum as shown in these images;

it is a bit longer on my t-shirt. 
and maybe add a statement necklace? 

i would definitely be willing to try peplum again!
