hi ho from florida

 

my worst nightmare

(i am absolutely terrified of birds)

tom has been sending me pictures from sunny florida since he left.

when seattle is flooded with rain and plagued with 40 degree temperatures,

all i can think about is how badly i want to move to the sunshine.

sadly, that just isn't realistic right now, but a girl can dream, right?

long distance is hard. really hard. 

we are doing our very best to make things work,

and tom has been both patient and sweet. 

as we are both busy adjusting to new jobs and "thriving social lives" (haha not),

it is sometimes difficult to make time to talk on the phone and skype.

when this happens, i become sad or angry and begin to 

question our relationship. 

the price of airfare doesn't ease my qualms, either.

we are chugging along for now, however, 

and loving the time we do get to spend 

picture messaging, chatting, and on skype.

thank goodness for these various modes of communication

for they make staying in touch much easier.

i am hoping to see him for christmas,

and if he does not come to seattle, you can bet i am going to beg santa for 

a plane ticket to florida :)
