going green!

yesterday i had the pleasure of visiting julep nail parlor, 

located in seattle, for the first time; it was a treat! 

julep nail parlor was founded in 2007,

and is committed to providing quality services, 

in conjunction with high quality skin and nail products, to all guests. 

i received a gorgeous (and organic!) 

manicure and pedicure, alongside fellow bloggers.

after our pampering, we walked to westlake center

to see a unique display, on behalf of value village. 

this month is earth month!

value village strives to spread awareness 

about the large number of clothing and textiles that 

are thrown away each year.

instead of throwing out unwanted clothing, 

donate, donate, donate!

the average family throws away approximately 

280 pounds of clothing each year! 

in addition, value village gives a second chance to 

1.8 million pounds of reusable items every day.

by donating unused clothing, accessories, and household products, 

we protect our environment, help those in need, 

and provide funding to local non-profit organizations. 

i don't know about you, but this girl is off to clean out her closet.

i look forward to donating my unwanted items 

to my local value village :)
