my jewelry collection

happy monday, everyone!
why is it that the work week seemingly drags on, yet weekends go by far too quickly?
i attended stylish in seattle on saturday, a style summit
for local fashion bloggers. it was an incredible experience, and i left the day
feeling inspired and almost giddy - i couldn't stop smiling.
i feel blessed to blog and share bits of my life (online) amongst such a welcoming
community of women. it was wonderful to catch up with blogging friends
and meet several new faces, too!

today, i'm collaborating with uncommon goods, an online marketplace for
emerging artists, jewelry makers, and creatives alike.
founded in 1999, uncommon goods is headquartered in brooklyn, new york.

i must admit, i am a bit of a jewelry hoarder. whether statement
rings or necklaces, earrings or bangles, i love them all.
i often feel naked if i forget to put on a bracelet or necklace before heading
out the door. every outfit needs some accessories, right!?
i recently had the pleasure of choosing two pieces of jewelry from uncommon goods
to style and could not be more excited to share them with you!
it was difficult to choose just two pieces.
whether you prefer statement necklaces and bracelets, or more delicate,
feminine pieces, uncommon goods has something for you!
i am wearing the hand casted pre-columbain bracelet and amethyst slice necklace.
the bracelet is a tribute to south american culture and crafted by tulianna and
alejandra garces, a mother-daughter duo. originally from colombia, they
immigrated to the united states in 1985. this unique design is hand cast in bronze
and finished in 24k gold.
the amethyst necklace is also handmade and created by san francisco native,
karina harris. amethysts are often considered 'nature's calmer' as they are
thought to provide inspiration during stressful times
(perfect for this preschool teacher!). it is finished in 14k gold.

dress: nordstrom (exact here), denim jacket & flats: forever 21
(similar jacket here, for less than $30!), necklace & bracelet: c/o uncommon goods,
ring: lika love, purse: dooney & bourke (hand me down from my mom)

i styled my jewelry with a simple midi dress, denim jacket,
and my favorite peekaboo flats. this dress is new from nordstrom
and has already become a wardrobe favorite! the fabric is incredibly soft,
and i love both the length and pocket detail.
xoxo.

**this is a sponsored post. uncommon goods graciously gifted
me the necklace and bracelet featured in this post. all opinions are my own!
