and just like that, we are already partway through july!
summer, where have you gone? between barbecues, attending weddings,
a trip to lake chelan, babysitting galore, and trying to fit in as much time
outside as possible, this summer has seemingly flown by.
while i wholeheartedly love blogging, there simply hasn't been enough
time to squeeze in outfit photos and schedule my usual posts -
especially when the seattle sunshine is calling my name.
i visited lake chelan (located in central washington) for fourth of july
weekend with friends, so i spent most of last getting back into the work routine
and catching up on sleep. returning to the gym was also a great struggle (!!!).
what? eating pizza and hot dogs and copious amounts of ice cream, while
drinking blended peach mojitos poolside makes the gym a struggle?
YES!

i've been on the hunt for a fun, well-fitting denim skirt since
last summer. as per usual, i browsed my local target, nordstrom, forever 21, and
a few different boutiques and consignment shops. i finally found this
denim mini skirt at nordstrom rack. the fabric is incredibly soft (comparable
to your lived-in jeggings), and i love the high waist and exposed zipper detail
on the back of the skirt.
i cannot wait to style it with different tops and blouses;
i think this skirt will quickly became a summer wardrobe staple!
now, we just need our seattle sunshine to return.
