a style event with lika love

a few weeks ago, i had the pleasure of co-hosting a style event with
boutique owner, malika siddiq, of lika love
with shops in both west seattle and madison park (as well as a fashion
truck, used for local events and private shopping parties), malika is a busy and inspiring
small business owner - she has become a role model and dear friend of mine!
malika believes personal style 'is a way to say who you are
without having to speak.'

i previously collaborated with lika love on my blog here and here.
i absolutely love the the printed dresses, high waisted denim, bohemian-style blouses,
and statement jewelry that malika keeps stocked at both locations!
^^^ i love the simplistic and organized layout of the store! and that jewelry -
i want one of each, please! ^^^
at the style event, i put together three outfits and presented them to a small
audience. i explained which pieces i chose and why i paired them together.
additionally, we discussed how to mix and match jewelry and other accessories
(such as hats, handbags, scarves, etc.) to enhance an outfit.

each look depicted current summer runway trends, using the gorgeous,
hand-selected items malika sells in store.
i wish i had been a bit more organized and photographed each of the looks.
unfortunately, i only managed to snap a few pictures of her adorable west seattle store!
overall, this was such a fun experience!
i greatly enjoy putting together outfits, whether for myself,
girlfriends, family members, or fellow bloggers - styling is a great passion of mine.

below are a few outfit photos featuring lika love fashions from this past spring!
the theme? 'let's wear white!'

malika, thank you again for collaborating with me;
you've been supporting this little blog of mine for years,
and i feel incredibly grateful for our friendship and shared
passion for all things fashion!
xoxo.
