with friends, deciding what to wear can be troublesome (perhaps you're
like me and try on every dress in your closet beforehand?).
feeling comfortable, while also looking nice, yet festive can be a balancing act;
you may want to add a bit more flair to your everyday dress. where do you begin?

party season has begun, and i am already brainstorming outfit ideas!
this year, i have three work-related parties to attend and
two family gatherings that will take place in the coming weeks.
as much as i would love to have a separate dress
for each occasion, that simply isn't practical.
i am hoping to use this black velvet dress (exact here) as my 'basic'
and build additional outfits by swapping out my faux fur jacket
and other accessories (a blazer, oversized sweater, and sequined bomber
jacket could also be paired with this dress - to name a few).
