a very special post

dear readers,

i would like to introduce you to my friend karissa (i was given permission to use her name!). karissa is a young college student and was diagnosed with a rare bone cancer, ewing sarcoma, that appeared in the form of a tumor on her throat last may. the tumor blocked more than 80% of her airway, severely impacting her ability to swallow. the tumor was surgically removed, and she is currently undergoing her eleventh round of chemotherapy. her doctors remain optimistic, and karissa's spirits are undeterred! her family has been immensely supportive throughout her diagnosis and treatment. karissa's mom and sister, brianna, keep blogs detailing karissa's treatment, as well as the many physical and emotional hardships that accompany her aggressive treatment plan.

brianna recently designed two unique t-shirts on behalf of her sister in hopes of raising awareness and money to help offset the high cost of her medical care. please let me know if you are interested in ordering one with your size and which style you would like! the cost will be determined by the number of shirts ordered.
