^^^ sometimes you just have to play around while in portland -

even if it means jumping to touch a statue 

and looking ridiculous while doing so ^^^

patrick and i came across this interesting looking statue

while walking to powell's bookstore this past weekend.

we saw a few people jumping to shake the statue (it shook, strangely)

and decided to give it a try.

patrick could simply reach and touch the bottom part,

while i struggled to jump and just barely reach it (as seen above).

you have to find some means of entertainment

while trekking around rainy portland, right?

this seemed to do the trick!
