a little bit

so...

...i survived!

my first (semi) solo day with eleven toddlers (and three very 

supportive and helpful staff members).

it was amazing -

exhausting, but wonderful.

one of the primary components of the montessori philosophy

is the notion of the "prepared environment."

essentially, the prepared environment

entails having a beautiful, organized, and purposeful

environment for the children to enhance their 

learning experience

(there is quite a bit more to it,

and more i have to learn, 

but you get the general idea, right?).

i wanted to spruce things up in our

little classroom, so here are a few changes i made:

^^^ a reading nook ^^^

^^^ cleaned out the book case ^^^

^^^ hello organized. wish i had a before picture for you! ^^^

^^^ cleaned up and decorated our little toilet area ^^^

i cannot wait to make a few more changes

and share the end result with you.

and now, it's time for this girl to go. to. bed.
