what to wear: holiday wear

with all of the brunches, parties, and other family gatherings,
how do you decide what to wear around the holidays?
a skirt? dress? sequins?
asa, from lace and pearls, and i are teaming up today to share
our take on fun, holiday attire!
^^^ it has been a bit windy here in seattle. can you tell?! ^^^
i love how well our looks compliment one another! both
are holiday-appropriate and festive, without being over-the-top.
i chose a long blouse and my favorite leggings, while adding
a vest and statement necklace to dress things up.
asa opted for plaid (perfect for the season!), a statement necklace, and a lovely skirt.

what we're wearing:
on megan
blouse: michael stars via tj maxx
leggings: american apparel
vest: kensie (similar here)
boots: thrifted (similar here)
necklace and bracelet: borrowed from asa

on asa
blouse & earrings: j.crew
skirt & necklace: j.crew factory
boots: cobb hill (exact here

these born boots are one of my favorite thrifted finds!
they're versatile and incredibly comfortable.
i feel very fortunate that blogging brought this lady into my life!
the blogging community is an amazing place, let me tell you.

whether you're heading to a show, a party, or simply
enjoying time with family, these holiday-inspired looks are easy
to recreate! you can also check out asa's makeup
tutorial for this look here.
xoxo.

  1. This post is so sweet. We make a great team. I have enjoyed working with you too and getting to know you better. I am grateful for our friendship.

Impressive turnaround on this post. It turned out great. I always look forward to seeing the end product when we are working independently. It always surprises me how are post are similar. Your paragraph about our outfits complimenting each other and not being over the top is similar to what I wrote in mine. Great minds think alike.
