'megan, what is the point of buying new jeans that already have
holes?' 'why would you pay more for ripped jeans?'
'do you have any jeans without holes?' just a few questions i receive
when wearing one of my favorite items (and wardrobe staples!):
distressed denim.
i have to say, there's just something about ripped jeans.
it could be a personal preference (and obsession), but whether i'm
shopping for denim in a department store, or putting together an outfit
in my own closet, i gravitate towards jeans with holes; the more holes,
the better. it often feels as though the majority of my tops and sweaters
pair best with distressed denim.
wearing in this outfit post. all opinions are my own!
i'm wearing the jag sheridan skinny. they're an incredibly soft and
stretchy, mid-rise denim. the holes above the knees are backed
with a patch for extra support (and a bit more coverage). i love the
lighter wash, as it's perfect for pastel blouses and cardigans this spring.
i might sound overly excited, but the fit of these skinny jeans is
seriously incredible! this is my first pair of jag jeans, but my mom and aunt
have been supporters of the brand for years! jag jeans partnered
with the company, fitcode, which strives to find the perfect
pair of denim for your body type. i blogged about my first experience
the process is simple: answer a few questions about
your body type and denim needs - no measurements required -
and voila! fitcode will tell you exactly which styles
of a particular brand of denim will work best for you.
it's like having a personal denim shopper in your back pocket!

dress your ripped jeans up or down, depending on the
occasion! i like to wear a casual t-shirt and converse
sneakers with ripped jeans on weekends. i might also wear
a blouse or cozy sweater with boots for brunch
with the girls. either way, i feel comfortable and feminine
(and perhaps a bit hippie-chic) in my ripped jeans.
have a wonderful week, and i'll see you soon with
another outfit!
xoxo.
