happy holidays!

happy holidays, everyone!
the decorations are up, food has been prepared, and the presents
are wrapped (or mostly wrapped).
we are headed to dinner with my grandma, aunt, and uncle tonight
and will spend tomorrow in my pajamas while watching copious
christmas movies and exchanging gifts - i can't wait (!!!).
a coworker of mine gave me this beautiful scarf
as an early christmas gift. it is the perfect layering piece!
let's talk about this outfit! my skirt, sweater and backpack
are from my most recent stitch fix.
aren't familiar with stitch fix? it is a customized box of clothing, jewelry
and/or accessories that are delivered to your doorstep.
you can receive your 'fix' once a month, every other month, or however often
works best for you; i currently receive a box monthly.
to sign up, simply pay a non-refundable $20 styling fee which can be applied to
any item(s) you choose to keep!
send back anything that does not fit or is not your style in a postage paid envelope.
you have three business to decide what to keep -
try everything on, assess what you have in your closet, and keep the pieces you love!

already a stitch fix lover? or do you have a friend or family member
who might enjoy this service? purchase a stitch fix gift card for the holidays here!
it's never too late to give the gift of a personal shopper and new clothes!

stitch fix for the win!

^^^ can i tell you how comfortable these wedge booties are?! ^^^
tunic: october stitch fix, leggings: american apparel,
booties: off broadway shoes (exact here),
wristlet: aldo (via dsw), rings: nordstrom and old navy, lipstick: m.a.c. 'russian red'

this weekend, i had the pleasure of meeting the adorable
(and very talented!) photographer, michelle dorman.
we met on sunday to take a few photos, and i cannot
wait to collaborate with her again!

i received this tunic in my october stitch fix.
have you heard of stitch fix? you can sign up using
this link; create your style profile,
plug in your address, and receive five items, chosen exclusively
for you, at your doorstep! it takes the hassle
out of shopping, especially when the stores are overly crowded
with the upcoming holidays.

i wanted to keep the focus of my outfit on the tunic -
i love the exposed zipper, side slits, and black detailing.
with my go-to black leggings and simple black wedge boots,
i added a statement ring, as well as a few more delicate rings.

i had so much fun styling this look and working with michelle.
stay tuned for future collaborations,
and have a wonderful rest of your week!
xoxo.

april stitchfix

blouse and skirt: stitchfix, shoes: dsw, bracelet: gift, hair pin: france luxe

^^^ i apologize for the wrinkles! ^^^

i received the above blouse and skirt in my april stitchfix.
i love the bold, emerald color of the blouse
that my stylist chose for me.
i don't often buy blouses because i fear wearing them to work
with the infants (i often come home feeling comparable to
a used tissue - dirty and covered in mucus).
however, my wardrobe is certainly lacking blouses
and other more professional attire.
the skirt is different, but fun, too.
i adore stripes, but do not have a skirt that looks anything like this.
so, what do you think - should i keep them?

i also received a pink blouse, a blue blouse,
and a large bangle in my box.
unfortunately, the blouses are all very similar
(different styles, but solid with a panel down the front).
i won't be keeping all of them.

february stitch fix

dress: via stitch fix box, hat: target, necklace: urban outfitters, heels: dsw

are you familiar with stitchfix?
i read about it from a few of my favorite bloggers,
and immediately said 'i have to try this!'

you pay $20 towards your shipment.
after creating a detailed style profile (answering copious
questions on the cuts, colors, prints, types of clothing, sizes, etc.
that you like best), a customized box
containing five items arrives at your doorstep.
you have three days to decide which items you wish to keep.
your $20 deposit goes toward your purchase.
if you purchase all five items, you receive an additional discount.
if something doesn't work,
simply send it back in your prepaid envelope
and finish checking out online.
then, voila! you are finished.

the above dress was included in my february fix.
it retailed for $68, and with my $20 credit,
i couldn't afford not to buy it, right?
(note: i was freezing when taking these photos,
but eager to style this dress for spring.
in actuality, i would need a jacket and tights to survive in the dress;
bailey was kept warm when the photos were taken).

have you used stitchfix?
sign up here using my referral link!
it is a fun, simple way to shop without the hassle of going to the store.

i kept one other dress that i received in my february fix.
unfortunately, the blouse, necklace
and third dress were deemed 'non-essential'
and were sent back;
there's always next time!
xoxo.
